Inclusive WASH ensures that people with disabilities can access safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services, which are essential for health, dignity, and independence. Yet, persons with disabilities often face physical, social, and institutional barriers to accessing safe and dignified WASH services, including inaccessible facilities, lack of assistive support, and exclusion from decision-making.

World Vision recently developed a new Disability-Inclusive WASH Guide to strengthen inclusive WASH. The guide provides tools to ensure children and adults with disabilities can access safe and dignified WASH services.

World Vision will be hosting an event on Tuesday, 25 November at 9 am Eastern Standard Time (check your time zone here) to highlight the Disability Inclusive WASH Guide. The event will include speakers from around the world, highlighting innovative WASH programmes that meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities.
