World Vision Ghana has been recognised for its outstanding commitment to people and culture practices, winning the prestigious Best HR Management in the NGO Sector award at the HR Focus Conference & Awards 2025. The event, held at the Accra International Conference Centre, brought together leading HR professionals, business executives, policymakers, and innovators from across Africa.

This year’s conference was themed “Equity, Innovation & Impact: Reimagining Work and Talent in Africa’s Emerging Future”, reflecting the evolving landscape of human resource management on the continent. The event provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the future of work, share best practices, and celebrate excellence in HR leadership.

Led by the People & Culture Director, Akua Mensah, World Vision Ghana’s People and Culture (P&C) team submitted nominations across multiple categories, demonstrating its strategic approach to workforce development, employee engagement, and inclusive practices. Following a rigorous evaluation by the Awards Technical Committee, the organisation emerged as a finalist and was ultimately honoured with the top award in its category.

The conference featured insightful panel discussions on key topics including Ghana’s readiness for artificial intelligence and technological adoption, the shifting expectations of Generation Z in the workplace, and the implementation and measurement of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategies.

World Vision Ghana’s recognition underscores its dedication to fostering a resilient, inclusive, and forward-thinking workplace culture, particularly within the humanitarian and development sector. The award highlights the organisation’s role in shaping the future of HR in Africa through innovation, equity, and impact.
