Energy Saving Jikos Conserve Forests

World Vision is training communities in the coastal region of Kenya to make and use energy saving jikos (cookstoves) that consume minimal wood fuel and emit less smoke. The jikos are enabling communities to conserve forests and avert respiratory diseases linked to indoor air pollution.
