Pregnant in the West Bank: The Dangerous Risks of Delivery

In the West Bank, over 800 checkpoints have turned pregnancy into a perilous journey. Pregnant women must often wait hours on their way to the hospital and many women are forced to deliver in unsafe conditions.

 

Mothers like Fadia show incredible courage, but courage should never be a requirement for safe childbirth. World Vision is working to train midwives and support emergency health stations so women can give birth with dignity and safety.
