164 children who were previously in residential institution or lived with the risk of institutionalization received the promised assistance – food - for February and March.

As a follow-up of the promise given in September 2019, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and World Vision Armenia are to work closely with the families of these children for one-year period to support them with food, clothing, school items, as well as payments for the electricity.

World Vision will also work with these families to empower them economically and ensure that children receive due services right in their communities.

Within the ‘Family Environment and Services in Communities for Children of Armenia’ project funded by the European Union, World Vision assists children and families in especially difficult circumstances by establishing child care and social protection services for them. These services will support the reintegration of children, reunited with their families or in the alternative family-based care, into the communities and families.
